This page was created to document the lives of 14 students from two different higher ed institutions (Paul Quinn Collge and Abilene Christian University) on their Spring Break in a food desert. We hope this exposes the reality of how one grocery store in a food desert could drastically change the lives of those effected by it.

Day Two
Day two was ok, but could have been better. I was running late to work and had to rush. What concerned me when I sat down and thought about it was if a mother ever woke up late and had to get her children ready, she wouldn't make it to work on time. I went to lunch and ate a sandwich then back to work still feeling hungry. I really don't understand how a child could only eat that for lunch and go back to class and focus. After, that the rest of the day went okay for me.
